Senior full stack software engineer in Imola, Italy. Also known as deius.
I have spent 7+ years building and modernising web products end to end: TypeScript and Angular front ends, C#/.NET back ends, SQL and CI/CD. I work best close to the people who use the software: understanding what they need, turning it into a plan, and shipping it with a team, with tests as part of done. I also lead AI adoption in engineering teams.
Outside work I build games and small web apps that explain how things work, and release them one at a time on deius.dev.

Senior Software Engineer, SACMI
Imola
- Three customer products in parallel, for the energy, packaging-machinery and paper industries: a real-time web HMI, a machine HMI moved to .NET 10 and a plant MES. Productive on all three within six weeks.
- Company AI lead: designed an AI code-analysis toolkit for Claude Code that maps an unfamiliar codebase into a self-updating knowledge base. After my first pilot the Technical Director adopted it himself; it now runs on 9 repositories.
- Brought testing to code with no running tests: 0 to 171 back-end and 0 to 334 front-end tests on the web HMI.

- Co-led an 11-person team on a multi-tenant HR and payroll SaaS for public-sector clients, advising the client and product owners.
- Stepped in as functional analyst and helped keep 155 of 160 tenants through a critical period.
- Rolled out GitHub Copilot to 30 developers and represented my team in a company-wide Copilot vs. Claude evaluation.
- API response times from minutes to 1–2 seconds; monthly database costs down by over 60%.
- Built the business case for, and led, the move of an 800+ project monolith from .NET Framework 4.6.1 to modern .NET.
